I love Time 2 Fix. It’s steps from where I live so convenience was the catalyst for the discovery of this little shop. I bring all my jewelry issues to Mike. He’s great! He’s always been helpful, clearly explains carefully all my options, and ?let’s me know exactly what he’ll be doing. Sometimes I have to stop by with two kids in tow and he’s very sweet to them. When I needed a temporary fix for my engagement ring being a tiny bit too big he let the girls come around ?the counter to watch how he solders temporary ring sizers. They thought it was really cool. While he may not be the cheapest option, his prices are definitely reasonable. I always know it’s going to be a quick process too, because outside of major repairs, he can typically do things while you wait. To the reviewer who had issues. I can’t speak for the quality of the work you mentioned, but I can say that Mike has an accent and you may have thought he said “15″ when he said “50″. I have to clarify 15 or 50 sometimes even when there’s no accent if it’s said quickly. I’d recommend Mike. He’s very capable, he’s engaging, and he’s very efficient. Plus there’s a little tropical fish tank with adorable sea creatures in it. Rad!
I went back with my ivory necklace that came out of a silver frame. ?He polished and fixed it for me, but it was a bit crooked. ?I would still go back but ?am adjusting my stars from 5 to 4 for the time being…
This is my first Yelp review ever. I had a good experience here so I figured it was time to join the party. Mike did a great job on a watch I brought in for a battery change. I noticed that it was really dirty and he offered to have it tidied up and it came back with all the scratches gone and sparkly clean. (Of course this did cost extra.) ?I also told him that I work late and so would have to pick up the watch on a Saturday and he even called me when my watch was ready around 5 pm and asked me if I wanted to try and come in that evening and he’d stay late for me until 7 pm. Great service!
DO NOT GO THERE”I work with stars!!”…. just never trust a guy trying to get your trust like that…I usually like yelp because it’s good to know who you can trust or not, and reviews are one of the best way to know that those days, sadly for my wedding ring, “time 2 fix” was a bad find. so I need to rebalance this place rating…I came in with my wedding ring to make it one size bigger, to let you know, it was a big deal to me as my first wedding ring had been completely crushed and looks now like crap by an other jeweler in downtown. so this one was the one to treasure.mike told us it would take 15 mn and would looks perfect, it was an easy job, I told him about my bad experience and the fact that I needed him to be sure it was something he could do, he assured me again that I would be pleased.so first, we did wait 50 mn, not 15… then, you could easily see where the ring had been adjusted, 2 fine lines would separate the original ring from the added piece, “It goes well with the design” he said!! how funny… anyway, we had a tired baby with us, we decided that it would be good enough, we could come back to hide the lines if I changed my mind, he strangely said a thousand time in front of the incoming costumer “lifetime warranty” (self-advertising I guess), we left.30mn later, looking at my ring trying to forget about the lines I noticed that the repair was starting to become blackened, this time I was pissed Body jewelry, first the wait, then the lines, the bad excuse for it and now oxidation?! on white gold?!!!so my husband came back to see him, he received the: “I had no time” / “I have to feed my family” / “god will remember that” complains!!! ?god will remember that?!!! what? that he did an awful job and is trying to plea for money to feed his family?!!! hmmm, I thought the guy was working with stars!!!… well, sure, seeing this crapy place, how could he?….he finally accepted to partially refund my husband after my husband mentioned internet reviews being wrong… here you go….
I went in there today, because my watch clasp was broken. ?Once you closed it, you couldn’t open it without pliers. ?He managed to fix it over the lunch our for $12. ?Apparently there was a twisted piece of metal that needed untwisting.Initially he thought it needed a new battery because it had stopped. ?When I came to pick up the watch, I was told the battery was fine. ?The service was fast and honest. ?I recommend them.
First of all, I have to thank the Yelp community for helping me find the best watch/jewelry repair in town.I’ve had a Cartier watch that needed the battery replaced and therefore has been sitting in my jewelry box for many years. ?After visiting a couple of watch repair places (including the ones in the mall) I gave up. ?I was fed up with dealing with places where making a sale was their only goal. ?I understand that the more you pay for a watch the more you’ll end paying for any repairs but I thought that they’d also be high on customer service. ?I was wrong. ?However, thanks to you guys I found exactly what i needed. ?Someone that really cares about their customers – that’s Mike.I called him today at 2:30 and he was about to close but offered to wait for me. ?Before going in I asked for an estimate for the battery replacement and I was pleasantly surprised to be given half the price than what I’ve gotten from any other places i went to in the past. When I got to the store I showed him my watch, and he confirmed the price which was a big relief. ?A lot of places give you a price over the phone just so they can get you in the store, but once you get you problem fixed they come up with excuses and additional fees.Mike suggested to leave my watch there since he needed to close but I wasn’t comfortable with the idea so he offered to meet me again at 5:30 pm when he’d open the store again. ?After talking to him and seeing that he’s no in to make a quick buck I went back at 5:30 and brought 2 more watches.Once I went back he started working on my Cartier and noticed that the gasket was in bad shape and let me know. ?He said that it doesn’t need to be replaced right away but wanted me to be aware of the problem. ?I must admit that I was in awe – a guy with his own shop that is is not making me spend more money. Whoa! ?I chose to have it replaced anyway just to play safe.Once he was done with that watch I showed him another one that I attempted to fix myself (battery replacement). ?I took the cap off, replace the battery but I couldn’t put the cap back on so it sat in my jewelry box for quite some time. ?In the meantime, the battery died so I needed a new battery – he replaced it, but the watch won’t work. ?He inspected in, dusted it and voila – it’s working. ?I bet any other place would’ve claimed that they had to replace something and charge me for it. ?Mike, just charged me for the battery and he’s currently working on finding a replacement for the bracelet that was worn out. ?After I saw how much he cares about making his customers happy I felt comfortable leaving the watch there. While I was waiting for him to clean my 3rd watch that no one has ever touched since I bought it (this is the pride of my collection) a lady came to pick up her husband’s watch. ?She got the watch and Mike noticed that her beautiful diamond ring could use a cleaning and offered it to her for free. ?Needless to say that she’s really happy with her shiny clean ring after waiting for couple of minutes.Bottom line, he’s got a new customer for life and let me tell you, this is not an easy achievement.
Mike may not be the cheapest in town, but he certainly knows his jewelry! He can problem-solve reasonably where others may end up charging you an arm and a leg?He has access to great equipment, too.He does talk a lot, but is very friendly and nice.If you have high-end stuff, he’s the man to see as well.A real honest-to-goodness jeweler!
After going to three different jewelry shops I was being told over and over my silver ring was going to be at least forty dollars – to just solder together mind you, flame to ring, nothing fancy at all. ?I was more than a little frustrated. (some even told me they couldn’t do it and then got angry when I wondered why they couldn’t use 14K white gold with the same results) Then I happened upon the brochure of Time 2 Fix at my local Farm Boy. ?I thought why not just go on in and ask, surely it can’t be over forty dollars. I asked Mike with trepidation:”How much to just solder this ring back together?”Mike answered:”Ten dollars.”?!? What you talkin’ bout Willis??? ?10 bucks??? Versus the forty I had been quoted several other times??? Oh, be still my heart, there are honest jewelers in the world. ?When I heard that I threw all my jewelry fixins’ at him so not only is he fixing my love’s beloved silver ring but he is sizing two gold rings given to me by my Nana when she passed AND to top things off he even saw I had three watches that needed batteries in my bag and he is hooking me up with a free battery. Oh, and need I mention it is all done in an hour and a half??? ?He can do most repairs while you wait but I wasn’t in any hurry.I get the feeling he just opened his business and in these rough economic times I felt compelled to make sure everyone knew where to get your jewelry fixed fast and not get abused by the prices. ? I am super excited to wear my Nana’s rings now and glad I found a jeweler I can trust.
I came into the store to have some links removed for my girlfriends watch. ?The store was very nice and clean. ?The owner was so nice and helpful. It cost me ten bucks and he said that if I had to come back to add a link then its free!!!! ?It’s so rare to have such a nice person helping you. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend this store.
I didn’t know I had a “jeweler” until now: Mike is my jeweler. I came in to fix a severely bent ring that was a hand- made, one of a kind piece that I bought for my best friend in Laos on a recent trip. What a find!! And then I threw it into my pack and found it several days later looking like a little ball of silver, crushed into oblivion.Long story short- I brought it to Mike, ten minutes flat: fixed while I waited and for 10$- it doesn’t get any better than that. The ring looks better than new and Mike was just the most polite and amazing person. He literally made my day.Customer service makes a comeback!!! Woo hoo!
I went here because it received good review and was supposed to be reasonable pricewise. ?My bf wanted to switch out the bands on his watch. ?Mike offered to do this for free! ?What a doll.
I had ran over my glasses with my car and mike fixed it within 20 min while I waited. He was very professional and patient. I had him readjust it several times since I kept thinking it was crooked. He did them all with a smile. He is very good at what he does and really cares for his customers. What more can u ask for?
MIke, the owner of Time 2 Fix, is FRADULENT! ?I agree with Connie F.’s review. ?On the phone he agreed to size my ring for a specified price (gave him the exact specific details of the repair). ?But when we got to his shop, he more than doubled the price. ? Although he greatly increased the price of the repair, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. ?We thought, maybe sizing the ring a half size down involved more work than expected. ?Granted, it’s a simple mens’ white gold wedding band, no stone, no design, no engraving. ?A simple and plain white gold band. ?We told him that the price of the repair was almost 50% of the price of the band. ?He was very hesitant to explain the process and grew angry when we asked questions. ?Because we got a really deal on the wedding band, we joked that repairing it cost us more. ?Then we grabbed the ring and said that he would buy it. ?Why would we sell him our wedding band! ? We told him “no” and he grew even angrier. ?Basically, this man is a shark preying on people who don’t know the value of their jewelry. ?He’s looking to make a quick buck and take advantage of people. ?We’ve always had a good experience with Yelp, but this guy is a bad find. ?Do not trust him.
I went to Time 2 Fix after reading several good reviews, and they were true. ?I had Mike repair two items and the price was fair. ?He will be my go to guy for any other jewelry needs.
Thx to Yelp I found Mike! He fixed my Hermes watch same day and with precision. Total custom job. He came in early to accommodate my schedule. And that’s why I support mom and pops!
Was recently turned away from 14K in BH to repair a ring that had been made for me BY THEM 4 years ago…a treasured gift. They said it was too fragile to work on and even when I suggested I would replace the stone if it became damaged by them in the process…they said NO.Sadly, it sat it my jewelry box and I missed wearing it every day. I ran across Time 2 Fix on yelp when I was searching for watch repairs in the area. Even though Mike had only one review…it was a great one and so I went with some watches that needed batteries and my treasured ring. ?Mike looked at the ring and said “why did they tell you this could not be fixed? ?EVERYTHING is fixable.” OMG – I fell in love with this man instantly. ?His honesty, professionalism and concern for me was astonishing. ?Better yet, he fixed my ring in 2 days and charged me less than $50. ?I was ecstatic! ?He carefully examined some of my older pieces (Dad & Grandma’s gold watches) and they are now under his care and capable hands as well! ?Words cannot describe how pleased I am with his attention to detail and knowledge. ?My ring looked BETTER than when it was new from 14K…shame on them!I’m now telling all my friends to leave their jewelers and go to Mike. ?He’s a treasure. ?His repair prices are low and his attention to detail along with his capability and talent is RARE and a breath of fresh air in today’s world.I would trust him with ANYTHING!
Excellent service – fast, courteous and affordable! Replaced my watch battery for just $6, in 3 minutes, and polished my watch to a beautiful shine. Mike was very friendly, kind and helpful. I will be back! Highly recommended.
Awesome service and super quick. ?They fixed an old watch for me and they were very helpful in the process.
I’ve been looking for a place to replace the batteries in my watches for several weeks. ?I stumbled upon this place because I workout a few stores away. ?Anyway, I went in and requested the batteries be replaced and I thought I was going to be paying a lot because of the location. ?Mike said he would service the watches in addition to replacing the batteries …. for $10 EACH! ?Now my watches have new batteries and they’re sparkling. ?I’m planning to go back to have my jewelry cleaned, in addition to any other repairs I need in the future. ?This was definitley a great find!!
Always friendly and prompt with repairs. ?The owner has been very accommodating and stands behind his work. ?You definitely feel like an appreciated customer which is becoming more and more of a rarity.
I went to this place about 6 weeks ago with a broken clock…I had tried all the rechargeable batteries I had, and none of them worked so I assumed the clock was broken. The guy fixed it and said that it was actually the batteries cuz he couldn’t find anything wrong with it (d’oh! I was embarrassed) and he didn’t charge me. He was really sweet, AND he let me bring my dog inside the store (small dog, about 15 lbs.) which was really helpful since I’d walked there and my dog hates to be outside, tethered. Great service, nice owner.
Mike at Time 2 Fix is an artist and can fix anything, he repaired my eyeglasses Body Jewelry, fixed a watch (that I had dropped) put a new hand, cleaned the band, and had it working and looking like new, all for $25.00. It’s been years since I have been treated like a big spender for such a small repair, this guy loves his work and his customers and really wants to grow his business. ?It was a wonderful experience, so I let him ?fixed my pearls for me and another watch and some silver jewelry I had not worn for years, I also sold him two vintage clocks for Christmas money and ?traded him vintage Chanel jewelry for ? three great new ?necklaces that were beautiful and so right now, so ladies and dudes spread the word, this is a great place to buy unique hot jewelry at an affordable price and get your stuff fixed and have fun doing it. Also he buys, sells, ?repairs watches, jewelry and glasses cannot say enough good things about his customer service. He speaks three languages including English.
